CURLING HIGHLIGHTS

OTHER CURLING HIGHLIGHTS

"I chaperoned a Girl Scout troop to an Olympic curling event in Salt Lake City (2002). We did training in the gym and then an on-ice session so the girls would have some idea what curling was about before we left."

PERSONAL FILE
Curls out of: Granite Curling Club, Seattle, Wash.

Curling start: "I was introduced to curling by my parents when I was a senior in high school and have been curling ever since. My mother is now 77 years old and we both live 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the curling club but we drive the trek once a week and curl in our ladies league with my sister and Jackie. My father curled up until 2 1/2 years ago when he had a stroke and is no longer able to curl. My husband, Morris, and I met while curling in a cashspiel in White Rock, British Columbia."

What she enjoys most about curling: "I enjoy curling because it is a sport you can play for life. Grandchildren, grandparents, and parents can curl on the same team and enjoy it."

Hobbies: "I love to hike, woodwork, and mow grass."
